Poems

There were a few things that I noticed about the angel island poems:
- they make references to time and nature
-they grow increasingly more angry/ threatening (which is to be expected)
The last poem in particular was very threatening, calling the Americans barbarians and making promises to end them. It bothers me that when we go by the textbook of our history, we don't understand the threats. The fact that America has done so much to inspire such hatred (primarily due to cultural our own ignorance), is disappointing. I think that we should be honest with ourselves so that these things don't perpetuate.
